I think it would be better without the "Cats see things we can't see." I think it is not needed and would make the cartoon more elegant if it was removed.

I think you are right about the proportions.

Since you are seeing the scene from the cat's point of view, why not also adopting this in your drawing? Cat in the foreground, humanoid making a fool out of himself in the background?

Just an idea.

Srini, I believe he only uses cartoons published in or rejected from The New Yorker, as his niche is The New Yorker and TNY cartoonists. As far as I know, he personally solicits cartoonists that he wants to participate.

To reach cartoonists, people sometimes write to them c/o the cartoon dept., like when they submit cartoons to the editor. All that info is on the cartoonbank website (cartoonbank.com).

The website also has a lot of information for cartoonists and would-be cartoonists, if you poke around a bit.

I'm sure it'll get into the cat calendar. I've got some cat and dog cartoons too. How do you think I can bring my cartoons to Sam's attention?

I like this one as is. What I really like in your drawings is the detail, keeping the guy's socks on, for example.
