And Papillio, which seems to be a branch of Birkenstock, does a higher heel with the same kind of sole. Only it's pretty hit or miss as far as the styles go! Except you hardly ever see them in a shop over here. Oh, and regular width is - from what you say - apparently not only for men but also for women with not-so-narrow feet like me. I can hardly ever find sandals in my size that I can squash my feet into. Two sizes bigger will *maybe* work, but then of course it'll look crap. The Gizeh ones are ok, yup.
