Well, forget it. “Not in my lifetime,” says Linton Brooks, head of the National Nuclear Security Administration, of the USA’s goal of nuclear disarmament. And then he went shopping for some new and improved nuclear warheads. [AFP]
I take this all very personally, because when I was a student in France, typing 40,000 words a day in a translation bureau, one of the transcriptions that my fingers typed out happened to be an International Court of Justice document.
